FOR THE CREDIT RIVER

These regulation
changes are based on the extensive public consultation that occurred
through the development of the Credit River Fisheries Management

Credit River - City of Mississauga from the south side of the
Queen Elizabeth Way bridge downstream to Lake Ontario and from
the north side of the Dundas St. bridge (Hwy. 5) upstream to
the south side of the Hwy. 403 bridge. |
Year-round
open season for rainbow trout and brown trout:
Credit River and tributaries - City of Mississauga from
the south side of the Queen Elizabeth Way bridge downstream
to Lake Ontario and from the north side of the Dundas Street
bridge upstream to the south side of the Highway 403 bridge
in the City of Mississauga. |
Atlantic
Salmon:
All tributaries of Lake Ontario lying upstream of the Queen
Elizabeth Way or Gardiner Expressway in the regional municipalities
of Niagara, Hamilton -Wentworth (excluding Hamilton Harbour),
Halton, Peel, York and the City of Toronto excluding Highland
Creek and the Rouge River. Atlantic salmon closed all year.(Div
3 and 4) |

All tributaries of Lake Ontario lying upstream of the Queen

gate and Regional Road 24 (Charleston Side Road formerly Hwy.
24) - Caledon Twp. Catch and possession limit of five (5) salmon
and trout, but not more than one (1) from among brook trout
and brown trout. Brook trout and brown trout minimum length
of 50 cm (19.7 in.). Artificial lures with a barbless hook must
be used. |

Town of Caledon, Regional Municipality of Peel. Rainbow, brook
or brown trout catch and possession limit of zero (0)
